Some Joy School operators purchase their start-up materials and start working on their Joy School a year before they plan to open their program.  This gives them time to gradually gather supplies, set up their home for Joy School and do lots of marketing of their program. 

Some Joy School operators get their start-up materials in the summer and are able to work quickly and start an excellent program in the fall after only a couple of months of preparation time.
